Overview

Omega Technical Services is seeking an experienced Applied Mechanics Engineer to support the design and analysis of a novel advanced nuclear reactor. This position applies engineering principles, modeling, and simulation techniques to evaluate structural and mechanical systems. The Applied Mechanics Engineer will perform linear and nonlinear static and dynamic analyses involving stress, force, vibration, material plasticity, and thermomechanical behavior.

The position will also perform dynamic seismic evaluations of structures, systems, and components, including soil-structure interaction analyses, and compare results against applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award and/or project funding. Candidates may be identified, screened, and submitted prior to award.

Employment offers and start dates are dependent upon successful contract award, funding authorization, and client approval.
