As a process integration engineer in the 3D DRAM organization, you will join a team of world-class engineers who are working in an industry leading 300mm R&D facility on technology that enables the future of memory scaling. You will focus on performance and manufacturability of Micron’s cutting-edge next-generation memories. Areas of concentration will include integration and circuit issues specific to 3D DRAM technology. Responsibilities:

• Contribute to technology development activities to enable next generation DRAM, working on device components such as charge storage devices and thin-film transistors, among others.

• Engage numerous cross-functional teams including process development, product engineering, design, probe, and yield enhancement to arrive at solutions for performance and yield issues.
• Design and run experiments in the R&D fab.

The DRAM Design Rules team develops and maintains design rules, methodologies, and automation solutions that enable the successful design and manufacturing of advanced memory technologies. The team partners closely with Design, CAD, Process Integration, Verification, and Product Engineering organizations to ensure technology scalability, design quality, and manufacturing robustness.

As a DRAM Design Rules Intern, you will contribute to design rule development, validation, automation, and design enablement activities for next-generation memory products. This role provides hands-on experience with semiconductor build methodologies, industry-standard EDA tools, AI Supported analytics, and multi-functional engineering collaboration while helping drive future memory technology innovation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, documentation, validation, and optimization of semiconductor design rules for advanced memory technologies.
• Support design enablement activities by developing methodologies, automation solutions, scripts, and workflows that improve design productivity, verification quality, and engineering efficiency.
• Perform design rule validation, verification, and analysis using industry-standard EDA tools, simulation environments, and AI Supported analytics frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of semiconductor devices, CMOS circuits, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Programming or scripting experience using Python, Tcl, Perl, or similar languages.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate within multi-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework, research, or project experience in VLSI Design, Physical Design, Layout Design, Design Rule Checking (DRC), Physical Verification, or semiconductor device physics and processing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years people‑leadership experience with at least 5 direct reports
• Strong understanding of EUV lithography and 193nm immersion multiple‑patterning processes (LELE, SAQP)
• Experience with photolithography optics or simulation tools such as Prolith or S‑Litho
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis using JMP or Python

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$167,000.00 – $293,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.

The Central Process Integration Engineering (cPIE) Loop Integration team drives process optimization, defect reduction, structural performance improvement, and technology integration across Micron's advanced DRAM and HBM manufacturing network. Position Overview

As a Senior Process Integration Engineer, you will own process loop performance across one or more critical semiconductor manufacturing modules. This role provides opportunities to influence process architecture, conversion strategies, inline monitoring systems, and technology ramp execution while collaborating with global engineering teams across multiple sites. • 5+ years of experience working with one of the following semiconductor manufacturing areas: yield improvement, defect reduction, failure analysis, or process optimization.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing engineering, manufacturing, or process datasets and translating findings into technical solutions.
