Your Opportunity Stantec GS is seeking a BIM Technician to join their Engineering team. The ideal candidate will understand mechanical and electrical systems (Sheetmetal, HVAC, Piping, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems). Working with Engineers and Designers, you will create and organize standard document content, and support the preparation of projects, plans, drawings, details, and specifications in accordance with Stantec standards, client standards, specifications, and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the design of building mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing) and electrical (Power and Lighting) systems for projects in the industrial and military sectors.
  • Coordinate with engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure accurate and clash-free model integration.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Revit models, templates, and content libraries for electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project standards.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical designs, models and drawings packages with other engineering/architectural disciplines as part of the complete design solutions.
  • Identify discrepancies in models, drawings and information and resolve through appropriate methods and channels.
