EGS is currently seeking REMOTE Mechanical Engineers with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers on a novel advanced reactor design project to support our DOE customer in Idaho Falls, ID.

  • Applied Mechanics Engineer - structural mechanics, thermomechanical analysis, and seismic analysis (Proven experience performing analysis using ASME BPVC. Preferred experience with Section III Division. Proven experience performing seismic evaluations using ASCE 7)
  • Mechanical Design Engineer - reactor vessels, high-temperature gaskets, sealing, and bolting (Must be proficient in designing systems in accordance with relevant national consensus codes and standards such as ASME B31 series and BPVC)
  • Mechanical Design Engineer - nuclear structures, high-temperature springs, shielding systems, and pipe supports (ASME B31 experience) Education Required
  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or a directly related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering or a directly related field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. The qualifying degree must be from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Must be a United States Citizen
