• Max** $174,365 **Position Purpose:** Qualify as a fire protection technician and serve in that capacity until required qualifications are met for Fire Protection Engineer. As a Fire Protection Technician, conduct fire protection inspections, develop hot work permits, issue fire impairments, and work under the direction of a fire protection engineer. A Fire Protection Engineer's (FPE) purpose is to ensure comprehensive implementation and maintenance of the Fire Protection Program in accordance with PRD-199, Idaho Cleanup Project Fire Protection Program. The FPE ensures compliance with applicable fire protection requirements and establishes a level of fire protection sufficient to achieve the programmatic goals identified in DOE Order 420.1C, Facility Safety.
