Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Location: Denver, CO or Boise, ID

We are seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a leading mechanical construction and engineering organization. This individual will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering and design services from conceptual design through construction completion, with a primary focus on HVAC systems and design-build projects . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, collaborating closely with construction teams, and seeing their designs carried through from concept into the field.

• Lead mechanical/HVAC engineering and design efforts from conceptual design through construction documentation and project completion.
• Perform HVAC load calculations and develop equipment selections, system layouts, ductwork, and hydronic piping designs.
• Develop and review mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and BIM models.
• Design systems in accordance with applicable building codes, energy codes, engineering standards, and project requirements.
• Apply engineering principles related to psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, controls, energy efficiency, and mechanical system performance.
