About this job

The Traveling Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for installing, modifying, testing, and repairing fire protection sprinkler systems on commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the United States. This position performs skilled trade work in accordance with project specifications, applicable fire protection codes, manufacturer requirements, and ESI safety standards. The Traveling Sprinkler Fitter collaborates with project teams and other trades to ensure fire protection systems are installed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

This role requires frequent travel, flexibility, and the ability to work in a variety of construction environments and abroad. This is a traveling position supporting Federal project sites both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS).

Responsibilities

  • Install fire sprinkler systems in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, assemble, and install sprinkler piping and related components.
