In-N-Out Burger opened its second location in Idaho at Boise Towne Square on Friday, Nov. 25, 2024. This opening follows the chain’s debut in Meridian last December, marking a continued expansion of the California-based fast-food chain in the Gem State. The new restaurant is part of In-N-Out’s growth strategy, which also includes a third Nampa location currently under construction and plans for a fourth site in Meridian.

To manage customer flow effectively, the Boise establishment took proactive measures. On opening day, a line of traffic cones extended into the JCPenney parking lot, and employees were on hand to take orders with tablets. Fortunately, the anticipated rush resulted in a calm, steady stream of customers rather than overwhelming crowds, allowing for a manageable experience without extensive wait times. The drive-thru remained well within the restaurant’s perimeter, and ample seating was available in the lobby for diners.

The Boise location is expected to employ around 80-90 workers, with a starting wage of $17.50 per hour. In-N-Out emphasized the importance of training, bringing in members from its “all-star team” to help train new associates. This approach ensures that local hires are well-prepared to deliver the level of service In-N-Out is known for as they transition to more responsibilities within the restaurant.

On opening day, many patrons opted for the drive-thru, with only a few choosing to dine inside. Some customers also visited the merchandise truck to purchase items featuring the restaurant’s branding. The welcoming atmosphere and customer service were highlighted by many patrons, reflecting In-N-Out’s commitment to providing a friendly dining experience.
