Infrastructure Operator I

This position is an entry level position in the Infrastructure Operator series. The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform routine and semi-skilled tasks in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s water distribution infrastructure, including mains, valves, hydrants, and service lines. The work is performed under direct supervision of the infrastructure supervisor with limited latitude for independent judgment and initiative.

The principal duties of this class are performed in an outdoor environment, which may involve adverse weather conditions, roadway traffic, related hazards, and confined spaces.
