The Low Voltage Technician (LVT1) ensures that all safety programs, policies, and procedures are being adhered to. Plans, organizes, and manages the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems to operate efficiently and safely. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.

Oversees construction crews and will help with construction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of low voltage technicians.
  • Install, repair, and maintain various low voltage systems, including commercial and industrial refrigeration unit
  • Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance departments to develop preventive maintenance schedules and strategies to optimize system performance and reduce downtime.
  • Install and support fire alarm systems including fire alarm control panels (FACP), initiating devices, notification appliances, power supplies, and networked fire alarm components. Perform device mounting, conductor routing, labeling, and termination of low-voltage cabling in compliance with code and project specifications.
