Article
TWIN FALLS — Chobani's next big push in Twin Falls is getting public infrastructure to match. The Twin Falls Planning & Zoning Commission on Sept. 15, 2026, validated a second amendment to urban renewal Revenue Allocation Area 4-3, a step that lets the Twin Falls Urban Renewal Agency extend the district's life and pay for public improvements supporting an expansion of at least $500 million by Chobani, according to Citizen Portal's meeting coverage.
What's in the amendment
- The amended plan extends RAA 4-3 through Dec. 15, 2046. - City staff said about $75 million in public infrastructure is under consideration, including water, sewer, road and power upgrades. - Agency executive director Sean Berger said the change responds to a new state law allowing a single manufacturing property owner to request an extension.
