MERIDIAN — Meridian's second Costco Wholesale opens today, Nov. 5, 2026, at 203 East Tower Lane near Lake Hazel and Meridian roads. KTVB reports a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning for the warehouse, which becomes Meridian's second Costco and the Treasure Valley's fourth.

The store sits in south Meridian, Idaho, just north of the Kuna city line inside Brighton's larger Pinnacle Marketplace development. Idaho News 6 reported that the project includes a warehouse, a gas station and more than 900 parking spaces, with new traffic signals at the Meridian Road and Lake Hazel Road entrances.

What the warehouse includes

According to earlier Idaho Statesman reporting, the roughly 200,000-square-foot Costco is larger than a typical warehouse because it includes a Market Delivery Operation for home delivery of large items — the first of its kind in the Treasure Valley. The same reporting described a 16-pump gas station and about 900 parking stalls on the roughly 24-acre site. City permits filed in 2025 valued the project at nearly $32 million.

KTVB previously reported that Costco listed the Nov. 5 opening on its website and that the new location is Meridian's second Costco after the existing store in the city.

Road work along Meridian Road

The opening comes with major transportation work on Meridian Road, also known as State Highway 69. KTVB reported that Costco is using Idaho's State Tax Anticipation Revenue, or STAR, program so developers front the cost of needed road work and may later be reimbursed from sales-tax revenue the project generates. An agreement among Costco, the Idaho Transportation Department and the Ada County Highway District outlines the improvements.

In a follow-up, KTVB corrected that Brighton Corporation is spending more than $24 million on the related road improvements — well above the $6 million statutory minimum for STAR projects — including widening a mile-long stretch of SH-69 and a new signal at Aristocrat Drive. Idaho News 6 also covered the new signals ahead of today's ribbon cutting.

Growth around Lake Hazel and Meridian Road

Brighton's Pinnacle project is planned to bring more commercial buildings plus homes and apartments around the Costco site. Treasure Idaho previously covered Brighton's Momentum Subdivision, which is advancing next to the warehouse.
