JOB SUMMARY The BIM/CAD Operator is responsible for creating and modifying elements within a virtual environment using industry specific software applications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A working knowledge of computer aided drafting and software applications at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in computer aided design and drafting or related field or equivalent experience; and
- 2 years’ experience in the electrical construction industry, with knowledge of electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Experience in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCad, Bluebeam Revu, Trimble, and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to take verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, working shop drawings
- Ability to manipulate Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar Revit functions
- Fluency in the 2D and 3D space
- Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades
- Ability to receive and transmit documents on behalf of the design team
- Fluency with all plotters, printers and reproduction systems used in house or o
