BOISE — The City of Boise and The Pacific Companies will celebrate the grand opening of New Path Community Housing II on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at 2200 W. Fairview Ave.
A September 21 media advisory from the Mayor’s Office invites the press to the ceremony and building tour. Speakers include Mayor Lauren McLean, City Council member Jimmy Hallyburton, Caleb Roope (CEO of The Pacific Companies), and representatives from the Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA).
New Path II is permanent supportive housing for people exiting homelessness. The City describes about 95 homes with on-site support services meant to promote stability, health, self-sufficiency, and independence. Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC) project materials describe a 96-unit mix: 63 studios, 32 one-bedrooms, and one two-bedroom unit for a property manager, with rents targeted below 60% of area median income.
The project is a partnership between The Pacific Companies (TPC) and the City of Boise, which put $5.5 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding toward the homes. It builds on the first New Path community, which the City and TPC opened in 2017 with 41 homes.
CCDC designated New Path 2 as a Type 3 Participation Program project in the 30th Street District (site listed as 114 N. 23rd Street / Fairview Ave). Type 3 assistance helps leverage federal, state, and local dollars for transformative projects. Financing includes Low-Income Housing Tax Credits through IHFA plus City support. CCDC lists total development cost at about $35 million.
Plans show a six-story building with apartments above podium parking, plus ground-floor office and amenity space. The first and second floors include supportive-service offices and residential amenities, including a roughly 4,900-square-foot outdoor courtyard with garden and picnic space. Architectural renderings from CCDC show the Fairview Avenue elevation and related project views.
CCDC’s participation agreement covers public improvements along 23rd Street and nearby infrastructure — sidewalks, street trees, a streetlight, bike racks, litter receptacles, water and sewer upgrades, relocated communications, and alley work with permeable pavers — with a not-to-exceed reimbursement of about $257,000 for eligible expenses.
The September 30 event runs 10–11 a.m. at 2200 W. Fairview Ave., Boise. Organizers plan a brief program, light refreshments, and tours of the building. Media were asked to RSVP through the City’s advisory.
