Nampa is getting a fresh playground at Skyview Park, with a ribbon cutting set for Friday, Sept. 18, 2026.
Nearly three decades after Skyview Park first opened, the city has replaced the old playground equipment that came out last month. The new setup is designed with more Americans with Disabilities Act features so kids who use mobility devices can join in. City details list a seesaw, swings, slides, and a spinner, with an engineered wood fiber surface that supports wheels better than standard bark mulch.
The playground opens officially at 10 a.m. on Sept. 18 with a ribbon cutting at the park. Skyview Park sits at 1020 Blakeslee Drive in Nampa and has long been a neighborhood spot for ball fields, walking, and family play.
Treasure Idaho will keep following park and recreation projects across the Treasure Valley as cities add accessible places for kids and families.
