Rigby is the seat of Jefferson County in eastern Idaho, between Idaho Falls and Rexburg along U.S. Highway 20. The city grew with canal irrigation and the railroad and is often linked to local inventor Philo T. Farnsworth. Downtown Rigby and nearby Jefferson County parks serve families across the upper Snake River Plain, with day trips to Yellowstone and the Teton region within a couple of hours.
