Eagle, ID – Valnova and Highland Homes celebrated the first residents of the Valnova master-planned community in the Eagle, Idaho foothills. Nermin and Jacie Mustafic and their daughters, Mila and Lily, moved into their new home on September 19, 2025.
The family reserved a lot in January 2024 and worked with Highland Homes through the build. Guests at the celebration included the Highland Homes building team, Valnova staff, and friends and family of the Mustafics.
Jacie said the family waited to find both the right builder and the right community. “We had to be very patient. We had to find the right builder and the right community. We had our Dream. We wanted the dream home and the dream lifestyle. We needed both and that is why we chose Valnova in Eagle. If Valnova was in Kuna, we would have moved to Kuna.”
The couple connected with Highland Homes after visiting a model in another development and meeting Kristin from the Highland team. Jacie pointed to the kitchen design and the builder relationship as reasons they chose Highland Homes for their first home together.
After several months living in Valnova, Jacie highlighted three things the family loves most: sunrise colors over the hills, bright night skies, and the quieter pace away from city noise. She also said Highland Homes exceeded their expectations during the build.
Finished lots were delivered to builders in 2024, and Valnova’s official FAQs note that the first residents moved in during fall 2025. The community remains a 30-plus-year build-out spanning roughly 6,000 acres in Eagle.
