On Feb. 26, 2026, the commission approved design review case DR-2-26. The proposal covers 1602 and 1604 W. Lee Court and 1234 W. Appleway Ave. in Coeur d’Alene.

Developer Wealth Hospitality Group owns the roughly 2.71-acre vacant site. The site contains about 118,127 square feet of land and is near the I-90 and Kootenai Health area.

The approval is for design, not a statement that construction is complete. A condition requires the hotel design to remain substantially similar to the DRC proposal.

The addresses identify two Lee Court parcels and the Appleway Avenue address included in the case materials. Together, they describe the vacant project site reviewed by the commission for this hotel proposal.

Five-story design, rooms and amenities

The proposed building is five stories and about 99,845 square feet. The applicant narrative lists about 98,851 square feet. Average height is about 66 feet, with a high point of about 71 feet.

Wealth markets the dual-brand plan as 93 Home2 Suites rooms and 80 Tru by Hilton rooms. Together, those room counts total 173 rooms in one hotel project.

The plan includes 177 surface parking stalls. The DRC materials describe that supply as one stall per room plus office support. Single vehicle access remains from the existing Lee Court curb cut.

Program notes from coverage and the DRC packet include a north-side outdoor patio. The south side includes a pool and fitness area. A meeting room and dining area use storefront glazing.

Project facts and expected next steps

Richardson Design Partnership of Salt Lake City is the architect. Project architect Cameron Hudspeth represented the team in the approval process.

Hagadone News Network reported an approximately $18.5 million project cost. That figure is reported, while final construction details can change as the project moves through later steps.

After approval, Hudspeth said the team hoped to submit permits by June 2026. Once construction starts, the team described a typical build as about 18 to 20 months.

Those dates describe the project team’s stated intentions and a typical construction duration. The DRC action itself approved the design review case and preserved the condition that the built design remain substantially similar.
