Meridian, Idaho is getting a fresh look at the unfinished downtown corner across from City Hall. Developers Ahlquist and Pacific Companies have rebranded the stalled Union 93 site as Heritage Square and released new mixed-use renderings for office, apartments, retail, and a public plaza.

According to coverage from BoiseDev (July 13, 2026), the plan includes about 120,000 square feet of office, two multifamily apartment towers (roughly 250 units anticipated, with some variation still possible), ground-floor shops, and pedestrian plaza space with a landmark water feature. The unfinished concrete structure already on site is intended to be reused for the residential towers where feasible.

Ahlquist has said the goal is to break ground in early 2027, with roughly two years to complete. Exact unit counts, parking, and final programming can still change as plans move through city review.

The same corner previously moved ahead as Union 93 before work stopped amid payment disputes; the property later went through foreclosure and was acquired by Ahlquist with Pacific Companies. Heritage Square is the new public brand for that restart.
